Designed by Hiroko Kobayashi
In Japan, it is said that folding 1,000 paper tsuru's, or cranes, will make your wish come true, with the cranes symbolizing hope, happiness, and recovery. Hiroko, a nisei Japanese-American, designed this shirt with that very purpose, to show that the Japanese people will remain hopeful and resilient in their recovery from the earthquake and tsunami disasters.
